Beneficiaries
Child 6 months to 6 years, pregnant and lactating mothers
Objective :
To improve the nutritional status of children and reduce child mortality and malnutrition. Normal and moderate children are given a diet containing 500 calories and 12 to 15 grams of protein, pregnant and lactating mothers are given 600 calories and 18 to 20 grams of protein, and severely underweight children are given a THR diet containing 800 calories and 20 to 25 grams of protein.
About the Scheme:
In order to improve the nutritional status of women and children, Implemented Supplementary Nutrition Programme under Anganwadi Services under the Umbrella Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) Scheme to children (6 months to 6 years), Pregnant Women, Lactating Mothers and out-of-school Adolescent Girls (11-14 years).
SNP is being provided to the ICDS Beneficiaries through the Consumers Federation instead of THR. It includes the following items.

Children between 3 to 6 years of age are given hot Cooked Meal in Anganwadi center as a snack and meal through women's self-help group. Different cuisines are served in each district according to the geographical conditions.
